14 May 2019
The European General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR) came into force on 25 May 2018 and it is now approaching one-year anniversary. This reform has significant implications for business, not only for those based in the EU, but for all organizations operating within the EU market. One giant company has been fined £44m by the French data regulator CNIL, for a breach of the EU GDPR. Protecting data has never been so important as the breach of the regulation can be up to €20 million or 4% of global worldwide turnover.
In order to provide the latest updates to our clients and audiences, we held the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR) Seminar on 14 May 2019. We have invited Mr Phillip Chan, Client Manager of BSI Hong Kong to illustrate some common errors observed, e.g. data flow diagram, DPIA (Data Privacy Impact Assessment) and what should be done in order to meet the requirements.
Ms Connie Chan, Project Director of Ringus Solution Enterprise Limited also shared some common questions, pitfalls and challenges in implementations at the seminar.
